    Our name, our brand, our concept, our know-how, our rate calculation system among other trade secrets from our web portal have all been trademarked and copyrighted in Singapore, in the USA as well as in the rest of the world.

    How is Curanobis payment system structured ?

    The principle is simple.

    Care sessions are prepaid by Care Recipients/Corporate Clients and the payment is released to the Care Professionals once the Care Session has occurred.

    This implies that Care Recipients must first charge their Curanobis account in order to perform a care session booking. Once the care session has happened, both, the Care Recipients and the Care Professionals must log back onto our website to rate their individual experiences. This action then releases the payment to the Care Professional. Please note that, in the event, a party fails to log back on time to Curnaobis, a penalty fee is automatically charged to the concerned party’s account.

    Which payment methods are available on Curanobis ?

    For the moment, we only work with Paypal. Other direct payment methods are being implemented such as major credit cards, Enets among other will be available shortly.

    How are the Care Sessions rates fixed and calculated ?

    Our rate calculation system© is one of the trade secrets which are protected and trademarked.

    In a nutshell, we designed it in such a way that it protects and serves the interests of all users : Care Professionals, Care Recipients and Corporate Clients. Our rate calculation system© guarantees that Care Professionals earn decent money even when stepping in for short sessions. It takes into account the transportation of the Care Professionals inclusive of all the relevant taxes of your location. Caring for shorter sessions is no longer an issue thanks to our system. It also allows Care Recipients and Corporate Clients to always have sufficient choices of Care Professionals available.

    Also, although Care Professionals have the opportunity to fix their own individual hourly rates, based on a 12hour shift, our rate calculation system© is designed in such a way that Care Recipients are able to find Care Professionals to suits their needs at the best possible price.

    Why should I never by pass Curanobis and engage directly ?

    There are at least four good reasons :

    1. Curanobis protects your interests and proves that the care sessions have actually happened.
    2. Your payment is safe and guaranteed on time.
    3. Curanobis has an endless supply of Care Professionals and Care Recipients. Freelancing Care Professionals are not always available and also need to take rest days whereby Care Recipients need to carry on with their care and replace Care Professionals. Likewise, Care Recipients’ conditions are changing whereby Care Professionals need to find new Care Recipients. Curanobis offers thus everyone the opportunity to sustain their business.
    4. Curanobis allows everyone the freedom to choose whom they prefer to have as Care Recipients or Care Professionals. This priceless flexibility is unique in the healthcare Industry.

    What kind of Care Professionals shall I select ?

    Once you have selected the dates of your care sessions, Curanobis automatically sorts the Care Professionals available on these dates. The system lists the Care Professionals available from the closest to your preferences to the least, taking into account their healthcare specialties and their forte. It is your responsibility to select the appropriate Care Professional according to your requirements, in terms of amount of care needed versus companionship, the health condition of the Care Recipient and your budget.

    Thus, kindly carefully read each available profile to make sure that the Care Professional you select suits your needs in terms of qualifications, skills and ability to work. Should you need any help in selecting your Care Professional, you may contact us at your convenience.

    Why shall I employ a Care Professional instead of caring for my relative on my own or employing non-professional caregiver?

    As Home Care Specialists, we strongly recommend that Care Recipients employ the right person for the right job.

    A non-healthcare trained person may aggravate a Care Recipient condition by not employing the appropriate care techniques. This may cause extra and avoidable suffering to the Care Recipient and worse extra healthcare costs in the future.

    Can I book the same Care Professional several times ?

    Absolutely, with pleasure ! You are free to book the Care Professional you please as much as required as long as you do it through our website and not directly.

    How many days of care sessions can I book in advance ?

    Curanobis allows you to book many weeks of care sessions in advance. However, kindly keep in mind that the majority of Care Professionals upload their availability every two weeks for the next 2 weeks.

    How long should the care session last ?

    The length of a session depends on your requirements. Please allow sufficient time for your Care Professionals to accomplish their tasks without rushing and for a greater comfort of the Care Recipient. You may adjust the duration of the care session when you book your next care sessions. The minimum duration of a care session is one hour

    How much money should I charge on to my Curanobis account ?

    Since care sessions are paid in advance upon booking and the right amount automatically deducted from your Curanobis account. However you may charge your account with more money than your actual booking required. Your outstanding balance will be kept for future bookings.

    How and when are the Care Professionals paid?

    Care Professionals and Care Recipients must log back to Curanobis at the end of each care session in order to grade their experience. This action must be done within the 24 hours after the session. This action also confirms that the care session has been completed which automatically releases the Care Professional’s payment to his/her Curanobis’s account.

    What nursing items and equipment shall I use ?

    Care Professionals are not supposed to bring and use care equipments / items from their own supplies. It is your responsibility as Care Recipient to supply them with the proper equipment / items to work.

    In the event a trained Care Professional recommends you to get any specific equipments, items or supplies, kindly listen to their proposition and decide whether you would like to acquire these or not.

    Good care requires proper tools. Even if each condition requires a different set of supplies, suggestions from your trained Care Professional should be taken into consideration.

    Nonetheless, as Home Care Specialists, we believe that Care Recipients should always have a minimum of common used supplies such as disposable examination gloves, disinfectant soap or disinfectant hand rub and masks.

    What shall I do if my Care Professional is not showing up or is late?

    Kindly allow a grace period of 20 minutes to half an hour to your Care Professional before informing Curanobis. After that, in the event, your Care Professional has not arived, please inform us by email at contact@curanobis.com.

    Care Recipients always have the opportunity to call Care Professionals directly on the number displayed on the Care E-ticket for an explanation.

    In the event, your Care Professional reported late for the care session, he/she must complete the full duration of the booked Care Session before leaving.

    If a Care Professional did not show up at all, please contact us at contact@curanobis.com. A full refund of the amount you paid will be creadited to your Curanobis account. Ultimately we shall investigate further before taking action against the unreliable Care Professional.

    Is the Care Professional entitled to any break during the Care Session ?

    Yes, especially if the Care sessions lasts more than 5 hours.

    We suggest you discuss and fix this duration and timing before the Care session starts directly with your Care Professional.

    However, before the Care Professional starts his/her break, the Care Recipient ‘s condition must be safe and stable. The Care Recipient and/or his/her representative must be informed that the Care Professional will take a break.

    Care Professionals are not allowed to take breaks toward the end of a Care Session and leave earlier than the expected full length of the session.

    How can I communicate with my Care Professional before and after the care session ?

    Curanobis has incorporated a mailbox system into its web portal as well as chat system for your perusal so that you may communicate along with your Care Professionals. You may also contact us directly, should you need to relay a message to your Care Professional.

    Can a care session be shortened once it has started ?

    It is up to your decision to let your Care Professional finish earlier than the expected duration of your care session. No refund will be made. Kindly note that a Care Professional is not allowed to shorten a session without your consent.

    In the event a Care Professional leaves earlier the care session without your consent, please contact us. We shall investigate the matter further and revert back to you.

    What are the penalty fees charged to Care Recipients?

    As per stated in our terms and conditions and after a proper investigation conducted on our side, penalty fees may be charged without notice to the Curanobis account of the party who is in the wrong.

    These strict measures have been implemented in order to protect the interests of both the Care Recipients and the Care Professionals.

    What shall I do if my Care Professional is asking me for extra money verbally during the care session ?

    Do not entertain any money request coming directly from your Care Professional before, during and after the session. The rates you pay for care sessions include all the charges including transportation.

    Should I have to give a tip to the Care Professional ?

    Curanobis leaves this decision entirely to your discretion.

    What shall I do if I already booked many more sessions with a specific Care Professional and wish to hire another one?

    Curanobis is designed to offer a maximum of choices and possibilities to Care Recipients. We suggest you book a limited amount of sessions with one particular Care Professional at first in order to see if the Care Professional suits your requirements. Do not hesitate to try out several Care Professionals before booking many sessions ahead with one Care Professional in particular.

    How can I change or cancel my bookings once they are done ? Is there any charges when amending a care booking?

    Unless of exceptional emergencies, care bookings are confirmed from the minute they are done. Technically they should no longer be changed. Extra charges and penalties may apply when you call Curanobis in order to change a care booking.

    How can I prove that the session has occurred ?

    Our booking system records any movement done on our web portal. We are thus able to monitor the progress every booking at anytime.

    Moreover, Curanobis puts at your disposal several care documents that you may download free charge and at your convenience from our website. These consist of nursing reports and nursing log sheets. We suggest you print the documents relevant to your care and have them filled up and signed by your Care Professional and yourself during the care session. These would constitute additional evidences that a care session has happened.

    Tell me more about the nursing documents and logs that I can download on Curanobis ? And why should I use them ?

    We have designed series of nursing reports, care documents and files for your perusal. These help you record what happened, what was done and allow passing some information in a structured way to other Care Professionals. We suggest you print these that are relevant to your care session in 2 exemplars and always keep a copy for yourself, while your Care Professional may keep his/her own copy. All Curanobis rights are reserved about these documents and users are free to use them.

    If you request your Care Professional to fill up both copies at the same time during his/her session, make sure that both copies are identical upon signature and if you decided to have them signed.

  • Specific To Care Professionals

    Tell me more about my account profile ?

    Curanobis is a professional website. Care Recipients are going to choose your profile among many other Care Professionals'. If they selected yours, it is because the information you uploaded suited their care needs.

    Therefore, you need to be very professional and very vigilant with regards to the kind of information you upload or the picture you chose for your profile. You also must stay very precise and accurate with regards to the wording you use and the information you provide. Be comprehensive and remember any important details. Avoid spelling errors and write in complete sentences. Refrain from using abbreviations.

    Curanobis will suspend any account whose profiles are incomplete or false information or not being professional, or is found to violate our terms and conditions. Should there be any changes to your profile, please remember to upload them on Curanobis website.

    Also, once you have started to take care sessions, do remember that your profile will include the rating of your Care Recipients as they experienced your care.

    How many days ahead should I show my availabilities as Care Professionals on Curanobis ?

    Curanobis allows you to upload your availabilities up to 2 months in advance. However, we suggest you upload your availability every 2 weeks unless you are very sure you will remain available. When your availabilities are set you may change them online until you are officially booked for a care session and in which case you are required to step in once you are selected by a Care Recipient or his/her Representative. A penalty fee applies if you wish to change a confirmed care session.

    For all these reasons and in order to avoid any changes in your availabilities, we strongly advise you to upload them only once you are very sure you are able to step in.

    How many care sessions should I take at the same time ?

    Curanobis is designed in such a way that it gives you a complete freedom in the number of care sessions you are going to take. However, we strongly recommend you stay responsible in planning your availabilities. You may work continuously without taking a day off but it is advised that you plan rest days for your own wellness.

    Please keep in mind that our booking system will automatically allow one hour gap between your care session and that the maximum of a care session is 12 hours.

    How will I be informed that a Care Recipient needs me ?

    You will receive an SMS and email for EACH care session you have been booked for by a Care Recipient; even if you are booked several times by the same Care Recipient for a repeated number of sessions, you will still receive a SMS each time.

    For your records, you ARE automatically confirmed to step in for each care session.

    Once booked by a Care Recipient or a Corporate Client, the care sessions can no longer be changed nor cancelled without paying a penalty fee. Once again, we strongly advise you to carefully plan your availabilities and upload them only once you are 100% sure to be available to take up care sessions.

    Can I chose the Care Recipient I would like to care for ?

    Unfortunately no.

    After each care session you performed, when you log back on to Curanobis to rate your experience, you may give us a feedback on your particular care session. We shall take note of your comment. If a major issue happened and you need our attention on it, you may send us an email directly.

    As a reminder, Curanobis is only a care booking facility and not an emergency hotline. Do contact your local helplines and emergency numbers if any issue has to be reported.

    Which penalty fees may be charged to Care Professionals ?

    As stated in our terms and conditions and after a proper investigation conducted on our side, penalty fees may be charged without notice to the Curanobis account holder of the party who is at wault.

    These strict measures have been implemented in order to protect the interests of both the Care Recipients and the Care Professionals.

    How can I communicate with my Care Recipient before and after the care session ?

    Curanobis has incorporated a mailbox for you to communicate along with your Care Recipient.

    Be careful before giving your mobile number to your Care Recipient as you might be contacted at anytime to give healthcare advices while you are not being paid. Care Recipient must book your time through Curanobis before meeting or contacting you.

    What happens once I have been booked for a particular care session ?

    Your care session is confirmed the minute the Care Recipient has booked you and prepaid the care session. No change is allowed without paying a penalty fee.

    Something came up, I still need to cancel my Care session as Care Recipient. What shall I do ?

    Log back on to your Curanobis account and delete/cancel the very care session you wish to cancel. A penalty fee may apply.

    What outfit or uniform shall I wear while caring ?

    There is no special dress code required except that Curanobis rely on our professionalism as healthcare provider. We suggest that you wear comfortable outfit avoiding to be too casual. Please avoid any religious signs or inappropriate outfit.

    The more groomed and presentable you are, the more you contribute to the positive image you project of yourself. Do not over do it, be practical and professional.

    What nursing items and equipment shall I have ?

    Care Professionals are not supposed to bring and use care equipments / items from their own supplies. It is the Care Recipients responsibility to supply you with the proper equipment / items to work.

    As a trained Care Professional, do not hesitate to recommend any specific equipment, items or supplies that would be relevant to the care of your Care Recipient.

    However, as Home Care Specialists, we suggest you always bring with you and for their own protection some basic items like disposable examination gloves, disinfectant soap or disinfectant hand rub as well as masks. Your Care Recipients should already have such items but at least you have your own in case they were not equipped yet.

    What shall I do if the health condition of my Care Recipient requires a care knowledge and/or an experience and/or medical advise, which I do not have or which goes beyond my scope of competences and/or care license?

    Never perform a care act beyond your scope of competence or/and license.

    If you are unsure or you do not know, please be upfront and escalate the care to the next level of competence. Do not take risk as can cause extra suffering and serious damages to the health condition of your Care Recipient.

    What shall I do if the condition of my Care Recipient deteriorates or if his/her condition can no longer be safely attended in a home environment ?

    As Care Professional, Curanobis leaves this chapter to your own decision and rational analysis of the situation.

    In case of an emergency, call without delay the relevant emergency service of your location or a doctor if your Care Recipient has one on hand.

    Do not wait to escalate the care further if you find yourself in any situation whose urgency and gravity challenge your skills and your sense of emergency.

    We suggest you get familiar with the emergency services numbers available in your location prior stepping into your care session. Last but not least and as a reminder, Curanobis is neither a hotline nor an emergency service. In case of emergency, you must call the relevant services directly.

    What shall I do if my Care Recipient is asking me for a discount during the care session ?

    Do not entertain any money request or discount request directly from your Care Recipient before, during and after the session. Sessions are pre-paid by Care Recipients and their prices are fixed. As a reminder, our rate calculation system© protects your interests as Care Professionals. You are thus guaranteed to be paid once the session has happened.

    In the event you wish to increase your wages, you always have the opportunity to log back on to your account profile and increase your basic hourly rate for your future care sessions.

    Shall I give my mobile number to the Care Recipient ?

    Curanobis advises you not to give your mobile number to your Care Recipient before they have booked their first care session with you. Your mobile number will be displayed on the care E-ticket both parties received upon booking.

    Never accept a booking directly from a Care Recipient. New bookings must be done online.

    Also, be aware that your privacy is valuable and that you might not wish to be disturbed for free advises once the care session has been complete, and while not being paid for. As an alternative, kindly inform your Care Recipients that they may contact you by contacting Curanobis directly or by leaving you a message in your Curanobis mailbox for you directly on our website.

    What shall I do if I know I shall be late for my Care Session ?

    Kindly call your Care Recipient directly as you have the number on the care E-ticket. Apologise and precise at what time you will reach the care location.

    Please note that in the event you arrive late for your care session, you must complete the full length/duration of your care session as booked, and unless your Care Recipient gives you the permission to go off earlier.

    Am I entitled to take break during a Care Session ?

    Yes you are, especially if the Care sessions last longer than 5 hours.

    The length of the break must be directly negotiated with the Care Recipient’s party. However, please make sure that your Care Recipient is safe and stable before taking any break. You must inform the Care Recipient party that you will take a short break.

    By courtesy, you are not allowed to take a break toward the end of the Care Session and leave earlier than the expected full length of the session.

    What shall I do if my Care Recipients want to engage me directly ?

    Thank them and kindly decline the offer as Curanobis protects your interest as much as theirs.

    Curanobis has been designed to sustain care as time goes by, while systematically protecting each care sessions and everyone involved.

    How will my total wages be calculated and how are Curanobis fees deducted ?

    Curanobis trademarked rate calculation system© ensures Care Professionals are compensated well even when they step in for short care sessions. A surcharge is added to short session as an extra compensation/transportation fee. This automatic increase protects the earnings of Care Professionals and allows them to spread overhead costs that shorter shifts imply.

    Curanobis booking fee varies depending on the length of the care sessions.

    As a reminder, wages paid to Care Professionals are net and not inclusive of any other mandatory government contributions.

    How do I fix my “basic hourly rate” ?

    Your “basic hourly rate” is very important. Feel free to fix your own hourly rate as you please.

    Your “basic hourly rate” is calculated based on the “per hour” rate you would charge for a 12 hours shift in your location.

    You may wish to ask around, among your colleagues what is the benchmark for a 12 hours shift in your location before you set your own price.

    Example:

    If the 12 hours shift in your location is priced at $198, the formula is:
    $198 ÷ 12hr = 16.50 per hour.

    Please remember that transportation costs and short shift surcharge/allowances as well night shift surcharge/premiums are automatically added to Care Recipients’ bill on top of your hourly rate.

    Thanks to our rate calculation system©, your revenue is protected. Therefore you do not need to increase your hourly rate way beyond the reasonable benchmark rate of your location to cover your extra costs. Your “basis hourly rate” should mostly be based on your talent and your knowledge in perspective of other Care Professionals.

    Please also note Curanobis is deducting a booking fee from the total amount paid by the Care Recipient. In any case, your total wages you earn in a Care Session will be reflected on the main page of your account.

    Do keep in view that Curanobis lists all the Care Professionals available for a given care session when Care Recipients are searching online. Your profile is one out of many other choices available in the eyes of Care Recipients. Budget and basic hourly rate plays then an important part in the selection process of Care Professionals.

    When shall I receive my wages ?

    Ultimately, if you wish, you may decide to leave your due on your Curanobis account and withdraw it later once you have completed a cycle of care sessions.

    Do I absolutely need to enter a payment method when creating my Curanobis account?

    You will receive your wages through Paypal only for the moment.

    Thanks to this direct way of paying you, Curanobis offers you a very secured web portal and fully protects your interests while guarantying that your wages are paid to you in due course.

    How can I prove that the session has happened?

    Curanobis logs every movement done on our web portal. We are thus able to monitor the progress every booking at any time.

  • Specific To Corporate Clients

    Who is entitled to create a profile as Corporate Client?

    Any client related to a business corporation and registered with relevant authorities of your location as a business entity. The account holder must use the Company’s registered name and address.

    How many users can be created per Corporate account?

    A Corporate Client may have several different users (called Admin Representatives) gathered under the same corporate account.

    However the first Admin Representative is considered as the main user, in charge and responsible of any matter with regards to the management of the entire Corporate account.

    What are the payment methods for Corporate accounts?

    For the moment, Curanobis uses Paypal as payment method. In the future, Corporate Clients will have access to a larger choice of payment methods.

    Can I book the same Care Professional several time ?

Do not hesitate to try out other Care Professionals before booking one particular Care Professional for many sessions ahead.

    How can I change or cancel my bookings once they are done ? Is there any charges when amending a care booking?

    Unless in an exceptional emergencies, care bookings are confirmed from the minute they are done. Technically they should no longer be changed. Extra charges and penalties may apply when you call Curanobis in order to change a care booking. Kindly check our penalty fees list to see if the change you need to do, incur some penalty fees.

    How can I prove that the session has occurred ?

    Our booking system logs any movement done on our web portal. Thus we are able to monitor the progress every booking.

    However, Curanobis has put at your disposal several care documents that you may download for free at your convenience on our website. They consist in nursing reports and nursing log sheets. We suggest you print the documents that relevant to your care and have them filled up and signed by you and your Care Professional during the care session. They would constitute additional evidence that the Care session was done.
